Yu Suzuki says that there is no concrete project concerning Shenmue 4
After the miracle of a comeback operated on PC and PS4 at the end of 2019, the Shenmue franchise remains unanswered for a possible fourth opus. Its creator, Yu Suzuki, however evokes some tracks for a potential following Shenmue 3.
Invited to an event located in the emblematic city of Yokosuka, Yu Suzuki could not dodge the elephant in the room. As Famitsu reports, the Shenmue designer first came to give his impressions on the animation series produced for Crunchyroll and Adult Swim, which he found "Merveilleurously achieved," specifying that he would have it now acting as gateway to his games.
Opening the universe of Shenmue to more players would be at the heart of its reflections towards a new opus. Yu Suzuki explains that the third component had above all been developed in order to meet the expectations of fans. He explains that he has clearly seized that some less familiar players with the universe of Shenmue could have "_the impression of being left behind" with Shenmue 3 . A component that would be corrected for a possible suite, as his producer explains, who hopes to ensure that new players can more easily immerse themselves in the adventures of Ryo Hazuki. For the moment, even if he greatly hopes that the Shenmue 4 project is the day, nothing was concrete was envisaged on the side of Ys Net or the publisher Deep Silver.
