The Pokémon Go Safari area in Saint-Louis has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns
The Niantic developer disconnected the pokemon Go Safari Zone that was to occur in St. Louis from March 27 to 29 was postponed. The developer has published a statement from his website.
"We made the difficult decision to report Safari Zone St. Louis," he says. "We are considering other dates over the next 12 months and provide an update as soon as possible."
Any trainer who submitted a payment to participate in the Safari zone may request a refund of his time slot. To do this, they must visit the integrated support page to request a refund. Anyone who bought the ticket for the event until March 25 at 23:59 pt to request a refund before the offer expires.
We have seen many events related to the game refrain from large gatherings in recent weeks while the propagation of coronavirus continues to spread and get worsen around the world. Previously, Niantic has removed a special event featuring Nidorino and Gengar party hats to appear in special raids at the beginning of March in some countries and continued to withdraw their support for community events to appear in these same country until further notice.
Pokémon Go Trainers who bought similar tickets for other safari areas may experience similar problems in the near future. For now, St. Louis is the only safari zone that has been canceled.
