Software talent training program 'Krafton Jungle'

Krafton (CEO Chang-Han Kim) is promoting the software talent training program ‘Krafton Jungle’ in earnest.

'Krafton Jungle' is a social contribution (CSR) program for nurturing software talents designed to fulfill social responsibility in Krafton's unique way.. From the second half of this year, training will start from the second half of this year by recruiting about 60 applicants between the ages of 22 and 32 for prospective graduates or graduates who wish to transition into developer careers. We plan to gradually increase the size to be able to discharge.

Krafton Jungle continues the core values of the non-degree program 'SW Military Academy Jungle' currently operated by KAIST. The curriculum that learns the core philosophy and computer science core knowledge pursued by ‘SW Military Academy Jungle’ such as immersion experience through five months of camp training, self-directed learning form, and team-based collaboration will be applied. Most of the graduates of 'SW Military Academy Jungle' joined major IT companies, and Krafton Jungle also plans to continue to develop successful results by nurturing continuously growing developers.

To this end, they signed an MOU with KAIST on the 5th and promised to cooperate with each other for the operation of Krafton Jungle. Crafton will reflect the core value of ‘SW Military Academy Jungle’ in the program, and KAIST will provide advice on program operation. The jungle door is open to people with a passion for learning and growth, said Ryu Seok-young, head of the Department of Computer Science at KAIST.

In addition, Krafton appointed Kim Jeong-han, co-founder of Bluehole (currently Krafton), as the director of Krafton Jungle. Crafton revealed the background of his appointment, saying that Director Kim Jung-han has accumulated rich experience as a game developer and software engineer and will be able to contribute to nurturing future students.

Kim Jung-han, president of Krafton Jungle, said, While the demand for software developers is rapidly increasing, there are very few talents with the capabilities required by the industry, making it difficult for companies to secure talent. It will contribute to the creation of youth employment and play a key role for win-win development.
