- First of all, please introduce yourself. What is your favorite game?

Obscure Tales Small Indie Studio in Spain, Obscure Tales. Two people of Nico and Fran are active. In this work, NICO was programmed and FRAN was in charge of art. Two we met in the game development forum.

Our favorite game is the old Biohazard series work and silent hill (1, 2, 3). We love old survival horrors!

-Why did you start developing this work?

Obscure Tales Development of this work was started in 2018. The Kickstarter campaign was also successful in 2019 (it was quite small!).

Originally, this work was scheduled to be a simple game that made in a short development period, but thanks to the feedback and support through the KickStarter campaign, it is a big scale, a larger, a firm one game I decided.

- Please tell me the characteristics of this work.

Obscure Tales This work is a game with the essence of classical survival horror but is a dot picture. It features an inventory management, a limited number of saves, and highly difficult gameplays.

Survival horrors that use such an old-fashioned gameplay are not so much, and especially those that adopt dot pictures will be quite few. This work is an adult work, and the player's behavior changes the story and ending.

- What kind of person do this work do you want to play?

Obscure Tales Target is a person who likes classical survival horror experiences. I like search, like difficult games, I like to solve puzzles, and people who can enjoy the sense of tension at any time. In addition, people who want to solve the story hidden in the back of the main story, and you will be able to enjoy this work.

- Is there a work affected by this work?

Obscure Tales Of course! This work is influenced by the Biohazard work, Silent Hill work, and it is a movie, and the Hell Lazer and Object X from Planet. There is also an influence from the book, which is also influenced by the Lovekraft work.

-Did you have an impact on development by new coronavirus?

Obscure Tales Of course. In 2020, the impact of the pandemic was very big. I could not meet my family, but I felt a mentally very big stress that work was changing.

Obscure Tales Yes! We believe that we can know more people with more people by delivering. As we are a small studio, any exposure is very helpful.
