Making clues in squares puzzles

Today, the latest entry in the legendary Rollercoaster Tycoon series is released Rollercoaster Tycoon Story. It could be surprised to learn that this is anything but a standard RCT entry is focused on match-3 puzzles than on the recognizable park administration of earlier games.

It may not surprise that the YouTube comments are not particularly positive to the Start Trailer by Story, and many complain about using a classic series in this way. Much of the wrath was directed specifically to Atari and the handling of the company with the franchise in recent years.

The basic assumption is that the theme park Eagleland is advised to a terrible state of decay, and they were commissioned to fix the problem. Solve hundreds of 3 wins puzzles and work through the parent action. Their efforts will reflect in new zones and additional trips that appear over time.

The game uses a so-called "Rail Match System" with which you can do tasks in the park. These include rides repairing, build new shops and keep everything nicely clean. With the helpful mechanic Sam on your side, slowly turn the park to safely and ventilate different puzzles. There are also other characters to meet and to friends, including Tyler, the Panda Mascot, and Maggie, the mechanic.

In addition to the puzzles, they expect the usual daily rewards and scalable leaderboards. All in all, it seems to be a pretty normal free-to-play release, although I can empathize in the frustration of long-term fans.

Ric discussed Rollercoaster Tycoon Adventures when it appeared on Nintendo Switch in 2018, and said that it's "a good job as a simulator for theme parks, but does not have the depth that makes it fun to play it".

If you want to see what all the can be picked, you will find Rollercoaster Tycoon Story as a free title of both AppStore and Google Play.
