Preach turns from WoW: "The passion is gone"

The Great Wow Streamer Preach turns away from World of Warcraft. He calls many reasons and the Blizzard scandal is just one of them.

There are many problems around Blizzard and World of Warcraft. Even if the current sexism and discrimination scandal overshadow everything else, there are also some developments in the community. Only a few weeks ago, the biggest WoW streamer ASMONDOLD moved to Final Fantasy XIV. Now another, long-standing content creator turns away: Preach does not want to publish content more about World of Warcraft.

Who is Preach? Preach has been a content creator on Twitch and YouTube for many years, which deals extensively with World of Warcraft. There are guides to current bosses, big discussions with the community to individual content, funny activities or even interviews with the developers.

Preach was always a passionate, but critical - if he did not fit something in World of Warcraft, he clearly turned out and named ways of making it better. He always searched the communication with the developers.

In the community, Preach is very popular, his videos often reach hundreds of thousands of views and his views are mostly well-founded and detailed explained.

What happened now? In his latest video on YouTube, Preach explains that he will pull a final line under World of Warcraft. From him there will be no more reporting to Blizzards MMORPG and he will leak his subscription. The time in which he accompanied World of Warcraft so big is over.

Streamer says: Blizzard no longer has a trouble at Wow

What reasons did he have? Preach calls a whole role of reasons why he turns away from World of Warcraft. The current scandal at Blizzard is only one of many. He only starts. Although this has contributed to the decision, it was only one of many points that have already been stalled for years.

For just under 2 1/2 years, it feels like this, as if Blizzard try to drive players like him actively driving out of the game and removing what to go to World of Warcraft.

Since Battle for Azeroth, according to Preach, there have been more and more bad and boring mechanics into the game. Especially warfronts disturbed, since one had to be effective in these at all - they were boring and you could not lose. The azerite armor is also severely criticized by him, which went through several modifications and was reasonably acceptable until the end of the extension.

Especially annoys Preach that Blizzard has broken a promise that was particularly important to him. The announcement at the beginning of Shadowlands was that Blizzard brings all major systems to start and then refined them. New systems should not exist, instead the existing systems are refined. With the rule splinters (new pedestals on Raid prey), Blizzard had recreated this promise immediately.

Preach calls the rule-splinters "ideal, boring and completely opposite to what players like he wishes". Especially annoys him that some Blizzard employees would probably have said that the splinters "like animal sets" look at and not understand why those who do not arrive as well with him and others.

_I just do not see how I will play the next 6 months this game and only annoyed stöhne. You are not interested in [Blizzard] anyway. If I see these changes - you do not bother you, it does not care. Why should it be interested in? _

_ If you do not make it, legendaries, rule splinters or soul bonds to balances before a patch comes out - and they are completely turned - why should I be interested? And I do not do it anymore. It just left me. You murder my passion for it ._

However, Preach has prior to finishing a few of his video directives in terms of WOW - especially those who are more of the players and their experiences, but not the game to celebrate. Once the last videos have been released, he wants to sweep the back completely and only come back when dramatically changes in the design philosophy of Blizzard.

The viewers react: The video is taken up by the spectators with much approval and understanding. Many also show themselves compassionate and believe that preach in the video simply "broken" looks like this decision was very close. Some write in the comments on YouTube: * "The depression in the voice of Preach is just so sad." * "All you say is 100%. I think this video meets the nail on the head in relation to everything that I do not like about Shadowlands. " * "Thank you for referring to this position, making a voice for us that we think so much like you." What do you think about the departure from Preach in relation to World of Warcraft? Can you understand his step? Or can you overpay that?
